i like trees.

today was my first day of school. or is it today is my first day of school. i feel sad because i am in college.

my window has no screen so people can sneak in and climb inside to play. my room is not fully decorated yet so it is quite ugly. i have a roommate named erica but i like to call her ereka. she's from hong kong and she's cantonese like me. (: *high five*

there are a lot of korean people. a boy taught me how to speak a little bit korean. he's going to teach me little by little every single day so that by the end of the year i'll speak korean fluently, as he tells me. his name is davey kim. in return, i am to teach him how to speak chinese. (:

ahn-yong. ne-an-heh, i am not a namja. translation: hello. sorry, i am not a boy. (: three koreans words already plus sahraanghae. koolio. i am quite proud of myself. *beam*

i also like this girl named joy but i deem her joyk. i think she likes me too. eheheh i found my twin! (: we click.

i woke up early just to eat breakfast with joyk, ereka and mickael this morning because we were supposed to celebrate the first day of school. except they left in a jiffied hurry because they were running late. so they all scampered off to class while i was left standing in the cafeteria with a plate of watermelon and honeydew in my hand.

they had class at eight o'clock sharp and i didn't have class 'til one thirty. so no hurry was i in and i looked like a terrible loner so i gracefully walked back to my dorm room and played breakfast tea with my stuffed animals because they were hungry. (:

at ten fifty-one am davey telephoned in and complained that he was hungry because he was too lazy to come to breakfast this morning so i, again, had compassion on him and accompanied him to luncheon except the caf wasn't opened until eleven-fifteen; youngey couldn't lunch with us because he had to go classing so he hungrily stomped away. poor boy.

my mother tells me that boys get grumpy when they're hungry. and even if you're conversing with them, they'll just be thinking about food.

so it was just me and davey and we showed each other pictures like girls do. (: but he's quite a boy. he's from korea and he speaks perfect english--at least better than mickael, who was born here. (:

it's funny because it seems like we've known each other for a long time but it was only yesterday when we all met each other.

so it was wednesday and there was a mandatory meeting at the sutherland auditorium for all freshmen. me and joyk were walking in and we saw a boy sitting all alone in the back with a melancholy look on his face. it looked like he had no friends so me and joyk mercifully sat next to him and introduced ourselves.

just joshing. eheheh. (: me and joyk just wanted to sit in the back because we didn't want to stay for the whole meeting because we've been to too many already. and there were two empty seats next to a boy. and as it turns out, he was davey. and the reason why he was sitting alone was because he left his roommates sleeping peacefully.

but the clock ticks and four minutes go by and his roommate rushed in and sits in front of us huffing and puffing so it was obvious that he was running and scared that he was going to be LATE, something i haven't been for the past few days. (: and his name is michael kim.

there's so many americans at biola that every time you see an asian at biola it's quite noticeable. at least for us.

today was also called meet the koreans day. and i shook people's hands and said "ahn-yong" to sound hip. but i also met a half-hungarian and half-filipino boy, and jerry's nice marines friend, dan pojanamat, and he is indeed, very tall. he's chinese. FINALLY a chinese human being. (besides ereka, aaron and jeff.)

everyone call michael kim: mickael. to spite him. -_-

but he's quite a gentleman. we both had an hour and a half gap between our classes so he taught me how to shoot pool. and i learned how to make a bridge with my fingers. (: he thinks he's better but i beat him on the last round. except i kept moving the balls around.

then we played air hockey and i'll admit that he beat me the first two times BUT on the last game i'm proud to say that i beat him soundly. eheheheh. *pupu*

i miss home. i am homesick. but i am at home. *GLEE*

hello all, my name is evangeline h. kwan and i go to biola, home of the eagles. *flap wings*

p.s. i am good at ping-pong.
