i went up the mountains to be a hermit, blog. (:
heh i'm joshin'. ._. but i must admit i can't do without people. i'd wither if i were to only live with trees and rocks. -_-
but yes, up the mountains i did go. on a school bus filled with little third, fourth and fifth graders chattering excitedly.
and jonathan our speaker, chriseley, timothy and elaine our group leaders. and queen esther (we were ordered to call her that). but i, i'm the king. (:
we all got our own group of little kids.
chriseley was in charge of the Jedis, elaine had her God's angels, and timothy with his justice league. and i had my PEBBLES! (:
and our victory chant was *stomp stomp clap* *stomp stomp clap* 'we will, we will ROCK YOU!' heh get it? ROCK you and pebbles. (: (yes, all done with the help of steph. like they say, "more heads are better than one")
my favorite pebbles: estey, christine, angela, melinda, jillian, and belle (xiao b).
timothy, elainey, chriseley, jonthan and me played when all the kids were sleeping. actually we're boring so we had a meeting at first and then we chit chatted 'til our eyes grew heavy.
and then next thing you know, we're up to the sounds of screaming and chattering.
we talked, yelled, laughed and played. (: and we all drowned in the freedom of being a kid.
except sometimes we had to be in charge. and act responsible or play judge when they got into fights or arguments.
our theme was heroes and in the afternoon when they had "more than conqueror" there were five stations of hero characteristics: faith, courage, strength, self-image and i can't seem to recall the last one. (-_- i'm low on memory.)
i was in charge of courage which was more of fear factor for the kids. (:
there were different kinds of edible things (wasabi, melted unsweetened chocolate, sausage, sour gummiworms, oats and et cetera) that were represented by numbers; so they had to roll two dices and whatever two numbers they got i had to mix together.
one of the worsest combination to get was two and two because it was wasabi mixed with gummiworms.
to build character. the kids were to eat what they got despite how unpleasant or awful the mixture was.
by the looks of how everything went, the girls were certainly braver than the fellow boys. (: two boys chickened out and another one was so hysterical that he almost started crying and one and half boys almost puked.
some girls complained, some almost threw up but i saw them swallow down their fears with a determined look on their faces and faced the challenge put in front of them. (:
later they all got beads as their rewards to show off the hardships they underwent.
and i made a necklace out of green beads. (: it's quite pretty.
and now, to the talent show! (:
so yes, we were all girls and we were determined to win. after all, we're the pebbles and we were to rock everyone.
we did american idol and i was ryan seacrest. and all them--as young as they are--had to teach me how to talk like him. -_- there were two girls that were simon and paula and a brown paper bag that represented randy because we didn't have enough people. -_-
every group had their own victory chant so we merely mimicked their victory chants by acting as four contestants: angel (God's Angels), Justice League (justin), Jedi (Jedis) and of course, Pebble (Pebbles).
and what do you know, we won, blog. (: heh. they rocked. because we're the pebbles. now we're just left with bragging rights.
i found a kindred spirit there. (: her name is esther but i call her estey. and she's nine and half years old and in fourth grade. she's skinny and short but she's sporty. she also talks like a little girl. and she's quite charming and very cute. i gave her eleven piggy back rides. i miss her already. ._.
and i miss my pebbles. -_- but they all went home. come back.
