Hey Evangeline
LOOK! I am so grammatically correct! It’s because I’m using Microsoft Word to type your email. I was typing it in the mail box but I accidentally clicked a link and it ERASED it all!
Oh well.
Since I am bored and getting in shape gave me so much energy (no more naps), I decided to write the reasons why I think you should take the classes I took during senior year.
I was going to explain it all during our passing period to Track, but after that hot hunk walked by, you forgot all that I was trying to give you and walked away, hand in hand, with that hunk of a man. HAHAHA jk.
Anyways, I think the three main courses you should take are:
Calc BC
Art and Civilization AP
Bio AP
“WHY, JAMES? IM NOT SMART LIKE YOU,” would be something my young Christian Fred would say.
You always tell me you’re not smart and the truth is, you’re smarter than me. I forget things easily and all the knowledge I’ve gain were through books and smart friends. From elementary school to freshmen year, I was considered below average. All my friends were pretty smart and I was the odd one in the group.
I remember giving the same excuse to my dad when I wasn’t as well off in school as my friends. My dad told me the same thing, people aren’t stupid, maybe some take a little longer to understand things, but not that long (unless you were autistic). It’s all about time and focus. Focus on your work and absorb what you are reading. That’s basically it.
I had tutor from 6th grade to 8th grade and my grade remained the same before and after the tutor came. My focus was about playing and having fun.
Okay…now I’m going to give you reasons why you should take Calc BC.
Calc BC is hard. No Doubt about it. Sometimes Ms. Meyers even messes up while solving the equations. However, because it is tough it makes you think hard. Calc is a subject that links the entire math you’ve learned so far together. Indeed I struggled. But in the end, it was worthwhile and extremely satisfying. I have no regrets for taking the class.
Do not even think ONCE that you are incapable of grasping the mathematics behind calculus. Although calculus might sound challenging, the concepts are pretty easy and are not that hard. If you have problems, Ms. Meyer would be happy to help you answer them. If you skip calculus in high school, it is guaranteed that you will face it in college. But in college, the whole year’s curriculum usually ends in a semester or less. If you take it in high school, you’d have more time to absorb the knowledge and it’ll be easier for you to take on in college.
Stats is stupid!
Don’t take stats. My sister took stats in high school and she regretted it. She realized that the better choice was calc. If she had taken it in high school she would have done better in one of her physics courses. So take Calc!!!
Plus, I haven’t heard any of my friends appreciate stats as a course as much as the calc students in my class.
Art and Civilization AP
This class is a joke; I could hardly stay awake in the class. Sometimes I do my math hw in that class or take a nap till the bell rings (you know how I take a nap).
The only reason why I want you to take this class is because it’s extremely easy and if you’re going to a university in California, this gives you 6 UC credits for art. For UCSD, my brother didn’t have to take any foreign language classes and it helped his GPA.
Plus, there’s no AP for this class.
Bio AP
I thought about having you take physics AP but then you didn’t want to and you already got some knowledge in physics. Bio will balance your knowledge out for the biological side of science. Sadly, you didn’t take physiology this year. Gunther’s class really taught me a lot about the human body.
ASB
Join ASB. I really like ASB and I’m sure you’d like it too. The only thing that I don’t like is that I have to go to dances to clean up. I dislike dances. Anyways, ASB is full of fun. You get your “privileges.” And the good part is, you don’t really have to pay for anything. In journalism I always have to pay for something. It’s ridiculous! Sometimes I wished I didn’t listen to my brother and be part of the “journalism family.” However if you like writing and you write well, go join it.
I prefer ASB
ASB ROCKS!
Well, there you have it. James has given you his advice and hopes his cool friend, Evangeline, would take it. Remember Evangeline, you aren’t stupid, if you were stupid, I must be super retarded.
no jams. i'm not smart like you. -_-
